Sapindus Mukorossi finds application in insecticides, cleansing agents for hair, clothes, & skin, herbal medicines for migraine, and as a surfactant. Also known as soapberry, it belongs to Sapindaceae family of Sapindus genus. Seeds of this plant can also be used for culinary uses by crushing and boiling to make liquid. This preparation is widely utilized in milk sweets including rasgullas and also known to add frothiness to desserts. Sapindus Mukorossi has ability to remove head lice from scalp.
